Kunjapuri Temple Trek

A few days ago I had the opportunity to do a trek above Rishikesh. Me and Eliane(guide with Aquaterra as well), left the base at 4:30am heading up the start of the track by head lamp at 5:30am. This turned out to be a good thing as it heated up later in the day. The valley follows a small creek for the most part, quickly leaving Rishikesh behind we wandered up past small farms that had small water delivarey systems to there terraced fields and wheat drying on the roof tops. Passing a varitey of different plants and and seeing some cool birds. This area has cactus, palm trees and decidious trees all fairly close to one another. The walk took us around three hours to climb from around 1400ft to about 6000ft. The view was awsome as you could see the plains lead into the foothills, where we are based and then in the distance you could see the massive frontal range of some of the Himialays. At the Top near the temple, there was an ever handy Chai shack with a nice family there. After a short break at the top we headed back down the same way to avoid the 24km bus ride, as we weren't sure about how often the buses/trucks were going. Doing the early start meant that we avoided the sun hitting us on the way up. Coming down in the sun shine was hot enough so I was glad at that. If you do it in the heat, take lots of water!!! Coming down was nice as well, provided a different prespective on things. There is an excellent office in Rishikesh to get some local beta. Try Red Chilli Adventure, www.redchilliadventure.com

Mt. Everest base camp Trek said...

Everybody knows world about of Mr. Everest, 8,848m and that’s the simple reason why the Everest Base Camp Trek 5,362 m is so popular. Mount Everest towers above the Khumbu valley at over 8,848 m and is perhaps the most iconic symbol of challenge and adventure on world. Everest base camp treks follow in the footsteps of legends as we ascend from verdant Lukla 2,880m to the vast glaciers and razor-sharp ridgelines of the Everest Himalayas; home of the world's highest peaks. At Base Camp, stand face-to-face with the fabled Khumbu Ice Fall and its towering search. Hike to the summit of Kala Pattar at over 5,445 m for an unobstructed view of Everest's windblown summit, trailing a seemingly perpetual banner of cloud and snowing on the Himalayas. The treks take you into the heart of the Himalayas of Nepali people as well, with awe-inspiring views of many of the world's highest and most beautiful mountains.
Except the mountain, the unique Sherpa culture, traditions, religion and hospitalities will be tasted in this trek as well. Most of the trekking days will be spent above altitude of 2880 m in the Khumbu valley and Imja Khola valleys exploration- there will be plenty of time to enjoy the local culture of the Sherpa people, visiting ancient monasteries, learn about Buddhism influence in Sherpa’s life and traditional farming system will add to flavor to your journey and will be most unforgettable experiences.
Everest Base Camp is the dream of the trekkers who love a trekking and hiking , because of its amazing scenery, because of the unique people living there, because of the stars are so close to touch, because of the mountain is there Please try one more time in your life , you get really life experience with big goal go to Mt everest base camp
